Beaded Designs (Geoms)
These two bracelets explore geometry as structure, movement, and wearable space.
The first bracelet is a sculptural, articulated form composed of interconnected cubic units. Constructed from slender metal rods joined at their vertices, the bracelet forms a continuous chain of open cubes that wrap fluidly around the wrist. Although visually architectural and rigid, the structure remains flexible, responding to the movement of the hand and arm. The open geometry allows light to pass through the form, casting shifting shadows and emphasising its spatial quality. Worn on the body, it reads as both jewellery and miniature architecture, precise, rhythmic, and dynamic.
The second bracelet presents a related language at a slightly different scale and density. Here, the cubic modules are more compactly arranged, forming a tighter loop that sits closer to the wrist. The repetition of square frames creates a sense of continuity and balance, while subtle variations in orientation introduce movement and softness. Together, the bracelets play with illusion and perception: flat lines suggest volume, and simple geometric elements generate complex, living form.
Both works reflect an ongoing investigation into modularity, repetition, and the tension between rigidity and flexibility, in which geometry becomes not just an abstract system but an intimate, wearable experience shaped by the body.
